MoCap Hub

The analysis of human movement – whether in a sporting or work-based environment – can be used to maximise performance and/or reduce the risk of injury. At the MoCap Hub we have a range of technologies that allow us to investigate technique and strength from a number of different perspectives: motion capture (MoCap), high-speed video, accelerometers and Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), electromyography (EMG) and isokinetic dynamometry (IKD).

Beyond the evaluation of human movement alone, we have worked with companies on knowledge transfer projects involving equipment design and testing, and human-equipment interaction. Recent projects have included evaluation of a new police tactical vest and trampoline testing.
